DESCRIPTION:Main Street McMinnville will present an Historic Preservation Conference\, Friday\, March 3\, 2017. The conference will be held at Magness Library and Community House\, 118 West Main Street\, in McMinnville\, with registration open to attendees from the Upper Cumberland Region and surrounding counties. Speakers representing federal\, state and regional agencies will speak on\n\ntopics pertaining to historic preservation and downtown revitalization. There will be a panel discussion on guidelines for historic preservation. \n\n\n\nThere is no charge to register for the conference\, which is funded in part by a USDA Rural Business Development Grant. A continental breakfast\, morning break and box lunch are available for $10\, inclusive. The conference starts with an 8am registration and the final session ends at approximately 2pm. Register by phone at 931-506-5335 or email at mainstmcminn@blomand.net\n\nPlease indicate when registering if you will want breakfast and lunch\, payment for which may be made at the door on the morning of the conference.\n\n\n\nA guided tour of Magness Library and Community House\, by library board members and staff\, will be offered at the close of the final session. The beautifully restored National Register property was opened in 1932 and hasserved the Warren County community continuously since that date.
